For those unfamiliar with Teuns, he is a all-arounder with a focus on climbing and stage races. This year, he won the queen stage of the Tour de Bretagne and finished 2nd overall by just 4 seconds behind Bert-Jan Lindeman. Teuns proceeded to make the final breakaway in Liege-Bastogne-Liege U23 (the pro version of the race is his "dream race") and finished 2nd in the final sprint to Anthony Turgis. Teuns latest big result was 2nd in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, where he was outsprint by breakaway mate Dimitri Claeys. With BMC, he should be focusing on the Ardennes Classics as well as stage racing, seeing as he is an able climber. You will be seeing Teuns at the Giro Ciclistico della Valle d'Aosta this week, where he should be showing off his climbing talents.
